Power Of Patience
What Is Your Power?
You have immense amounts of energy flowing through you at all times, but you probably have no idea how to access it. This is by design; if you could easily access the power you entered this world with, you’d be a force to be reckoned with. Instead, you are immediately nerfed the moment you come into consciousness by the world around you because anyone walking around with their potential realized is dangerous. So you are taught by your parents how to behave, think, and desire until the programming has set in well enough that you only believe what you were taught and not what you feel.
We get taught how to think and how not to feel.
Our feelings are the manifestation of the powerful energy that flows through us from the moment we are born; the energy we can use to create is relegated to a sideshow in favor of critical thought. Ironically, if you think long enough, you’ll come to the conclusion that being able to feel is just as important, if not more, than the ability to think. Life is an experience fueled by emotions (energy) inside the container of time. We have the privilege of experiencing as many emotions as possible within a random amount of time. Every accomplishment that you or any other human experience is achieved through the active use of the energy we inherently have. You are just taught to look at the clear displays of our natural power as random everyday occurrences without meaning. Since little meaning or prestige is given to our energy or emotions, we overlook this power in favor of what society tells us is important.
GOALS
One way society keeps you away from fully realizing your power is the hamster wheel of goals and destinations.
“You are never as good as you can be.” “You could have more.” There’s always something new and shiny outside of us that demands we pour our energy into it, whether in the form of time, money, or attention. The goals exist to siphon your energy while simultaneously keeping you ignorant of your power. Our society is FAST; it often feels like everything around us is moving faster by the day, and we are somehow behind if we can’t keep up that pace. We arrange finish lines all around life, forcing us to constantly focus on the next destination while letting the present moments melt away without even really tasting them.
When outside forces dictate the speed of your lie, you end up getting dragged behind life, always rushing and never in your power. Rushing then invites mistakes and oversights that require you to spend more time on the thing you rushed in the first place. Like loony toons, we sprint toward our goals so fast that we cannot even realize the destination is just a paper landscape with nothing of substance behind it. This is the point: how could you ever discover your true power if you’re always chasing your potential? We are supposed to believe that the divine parts of us aren’t a part of us yet, and by the time most people stop running towards their “potential,” they’ve already run dozens of marathons trying to catch who they already are.
You are already glorious; you just need the tools to fully access your power, like a young wizard learning to flick their wand. You have the power; you just have to learn how to use it.
Take Back Your Power.
The evil mustache-twirling society wants us to rush, so don’t. Speed is a wonderful tool to overwhelm or distract because the faster something goes, the harder it is to control. The Evil They want you to be out of control or, in other words, out of your power because your power exists in the stillness.
So be still. Practicing patience is one of the most powerful decisions you can make in an aggressive, fast-paced world. As you probably know, being patient isn’t an easy feat; it requires you to say no to years of programming on how to react. A dog with its leash stuck around a pole will panic and run about trying to muscle its way out of the problem when only a few calm steps backward are all that is required to free its leash. No one wants to be in an uncomfortable situation, so like the dog, we will run as fast as we can, unaware that problems aren’t solved in the panic but the calm. When you can develop your patience, you begin to access your power once again. Your patience allows you to take back your time because now decisions are made when you are ready, instead of impulse. Your patience will become the buffer for your emotions and give you the time required to subvert triggers to respond how you wish. Patience is a tool of time control, allowing you to stop and think while the world aimlessly rushes past you.
There is no need to rush life. When you are not rushing, you will gain a new perspective on life because you can see it more clearly.
